Our Nov 18 meetup: Andrew Wirtanen of Citrix — Cross-disciplinary teams for great user experiences / by Benjamin Watson

Whether you are part of a startup, or an employee in a large enterprise company, the best products will be the result of effective collaboration. Company-wide collaboration is necessary to deliver the best user experiences. Almost every department within an organization affects the user experience, from design to customer support. This talk will share real-life experiences and techniques for collaboration with the goal of inspiring how you approach interactions with peers and coworkers. Please bring your questions to the meetup!

Andrew Wirtanen is a Lead Product Designer at Citrix in Raleigh, NC. He is an executive council member of the Triangle UXPA, and former president of the organization. He has experience with many usability engineering and interaction design methods. Prior to joining Citrix in 2013, he worked in consulting environments for six years. Andrew holds a master's degree in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University. He is @awirtanen on Twitter.

As always with our meetups, this is not a "sit back and listen" meeting, but a chance for us to bring together a cross disciplinary group of people to think about the relationship between UX, technology, and design. Mostly though, we'll get to know one another, and have some fun.
